Concert for America,
NBC, September 11, 2002
On a night when its competitors are planning conventional
news coverage, NBC is taking a different approach to marking the
first anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
The Peacock has announced that first lady Laura
Bush will join NBC News anchor Tom
Brokaw for the Concert for America, a prime-time special
paying tribute to the heroes of the tragedy and to those who lost
their lives.
Smithsonian's National Museum of American History
To Open September 11 Exhibition
Artifacts, Photographs and Personal Stories
From Three Sites and Nation's Response
On the one-year anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist
attacks, the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History,
Behring Center will open a commemorative exhibition, "September
11: Bearing Witness to History." The 5,000-square-foot exhibition
opens on Sept. 11 and closes Jan. 11, 2003.

PBS Remembers September 11
"We Remember," a selection of programs
that salute the heroes, memorialize the departed and analyze the
attacks and their aftermath. The programs air on PBS between Tuesday,
September 3, and Wednesday, September 11, 2002.

Discovery Health Channel
"Resilience."
The American Psychological Association has developed a new relationship
with Discovery Health to produce a documentary on steps to resilience.
The hour-long program is scheduled to air September 11, 2002,
the one-year anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy and will highlight
individuals stories about bouncing back from trauma resulting
from September 11, as well as other traumatic events people often
face.

A non-profit organization founded by families
of those who died in the September 11 terrorist attacks. Membership
is also open to the families of people who die in related acts
of terrorism, such as the anthrax attacks. Others interested in
