About COPSA (Comprehensive Services on Aging)
The COPSA Institute for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related
Disorders and COPSA Geriatric Outpatient Services comprise the state’s
leading center for the diagnosis, treatment and research of dementia
and psychiatric illnesses in older adults. The COPSA Institute
for Alzheimer's Disease is supported by a generous grant from the
New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services.
As a comprehensive center for the diagnosis, treatment and research
of dementia, COPSA provides these essential services:
- Memory Disorders Clinic –
a team of dementia specialists diagnose and treat people with
memory disorders and behavioral problems
- Dementia Day Program – the
first dementia day program established in New Jersey with innovative,
structured activities to reinforce patient functioning and offer
support and respite for families
- Resource Center – counseling,
support, education, referrals and free literature
- Consultation & Education Services
– offers training to doctors, nurses, social workers
and other health care professionals who work with older adults
- Geriatric Outpatient
- Geriatric Outreach Case Management
- EARS (Educate, Advocate, Reduce Stress)
for Caregivers
All COPSA services provide:

Robert Wood Johnson Medical School
