The Spring 2008 Screener Recertification Training Series. UBHC continues to provide the NJ Psychiatric Screener Recertification Series with a focus on offering new and updated courses. This spring, we are offering a total of 51 recertification credits. The remaining three courses ("HIPAA, Psychiatric Advance Directives and Other Legal Aspects of the Screening Process", "Psychopharmacology & Comorbid Physical Conditions", and "Chronological Assessment of Suicidal Events - CASE Approach") were offered previously and were well received. The Mobile Outreach Practicum has also been expanded to include opportunities for outreach and collaboration with a variety of community service programs. See details.

The Spring 2008 Basic Screener Certification Training Series: With the statewide screener expansion of more than 100 screeners, UBHC is continuing to provide the Basic Screener Certification Series in the Southern, Central, and Northern Regions. The September 2007 to May 2008 ICMS Core Competency Training Series: This series is the culmination of a collaborative effort that included researching case management core competencies on a national level. In fiscal year 2006, New Jersey stakeholders ranked the list of identified competencies in order of importance. These stakeholders included consumers, family members, ICMS, PACT, screening centers, outpatient and partial hospital/care programs, NJ-DMHS, and County MH Boards. The UBHC-Technical Assistance Center (TAC), with the continued collaborative efforts of a group of these stakeholders, developed this training series to foster and enhance the identified competencies specifically for ICMS case managers. Attendees to the trainings will receive a General Attendance Certificate for each training completed as well as a Certificate of Completion for case managers who complete the entire series. ICMS Core Competency Training Series Schedule.
