Clinical Trials Program

University Behavioral HealthCare’s Clinical Trials Program is a collaborative effort with the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry, Department of Psychiatry, UMDNJ - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. In conjunction with leading pharmaceutical companies (many based right here in New Jersey), the Clinical Trials Program offers patients the opportunity to participate in tests of promising experimental medications for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, behavioral complications of dementia, mood disorders, and other related illnesses. In addition to clinical trials of new medications, the faculty and staff of UBHC also conduct non-pharmacologic research activities devoted to the continuing study and treatment of dementia and general mental health concerns of the elderly.
